The PET Pre-Form
Mould is the product that is created at the preliminary stage of the
Plastic bottle creation. The PET stands for Polyethylene Terephthalate, which
is the material or the overall compound used. As the name suggests, the
pre-form is the initial shape of the plastic bottle. It is similarly shaped to
look like an open-ended cylindrical test tube. The open-ended portion of the
pre-form mold is fitted with the thread that meets the neck ring. The bottle caps
are manufactured on a different mold. The overall structure of the pre-form is
to meet the requirements of an efficient process with the blowing machine. The
blowing machine, as the name suggests, filters air into the Pre-Form Mould to
the desired shape and feel of the final bottle’s structure.
